For a small child living in a shelter or waiting to be adopted, each day can seem like a lifetime. Special days, such as birthdays, often go by unnoticed.  No child should spend their birthday alone or without a special gift because of difficult family circumstances beyond their control. And that is why we created the Rivers of Hope Birthday Club.

Thanks to the generosity of San Diego Quarterback Philip Rivers and his wife Tiffany, the Rivers of Hope Birthday Club brings joy and smiles to children living in shelters or in foster care. The program provides children with a birthday gift card on their special day.  The gift not only gives the children a chance to pick out their own special gift, but it also sends a message that someone cares, and that they have not been forgotten.
